Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, will make their first solo outing together to watch Meghan’s pal Serena Williams at Wimbledon today [Saturday 14 July].
While royal fans will be excited to see Prince William and Prince Harry’s wives out together for the first time, they will also be eager to see what the two Duchesses are wearing.
Although Wimbledon doesn’t have a dress code as strict Ascot, there are some guidelines spectators must follow or they could be denied entry.
Meghan and Kate will be watching from the Royal Box, meaning they will have a stricter set of fashion rules to follow.

Spectators in the Royal Box must dress smartly, and there is one accessory the royal women wear on almost every royal engagement that Meghan and Kate will not be allowed to wear – hats.

However, for those situated outside of the Royal Box, panama hats are allowed as long as they don’t constrict the view of the person behind.
Kate and Meghan will also have to dress smartly, but as they have attended Wimbledon separately on numerous occasions in the past they will be familiar with what to wear.
